The Philips TL-X XL 20W/33-640 58V FA6 611mm is a single-pin low-pressure mercury discharge lamp with a tubular 38 mm envelope. Its features include an internal ignition strip for EM starterless operation or HF Non-preheat operation. The special FA6 lamp cap has a long and thick pin, requiring a special lamp holder. In combination with a special lamp holder, all possible sparking effects during ignition are eliminated. This lamp is used in flameproof and increased-safety luminaires for both indoor and outdoor applications, such as the (petro-)chemical industry, offshore, mines, and any location where traces of explosive gases may be found.
